NAZAR
The Turkish Evil Eye or Nazar Boncugu which literally means the "evil eye bead", dates back almost 3000 years. As well as being seen in Turkey, it exists in other cultures. The first recorded use of it was found on clay tablets dating back 5000 years to the era of ancient Mesopotamia.
It's believed that one can be harmed by the evil eye stare of an envious person or by unintentional lengthy praise. The evil eye deflects the negative energy directed towards the person onto itself, thus dispersing it's powers.
